Drawing from ancient echoes and contemporary rhythms, this 25-minute observational essay film travels through Lebanon’s layered history. Beginning with the silent grandeur of once Sumerian-influenced sites, it weaves past relics and ruins before settling into the vivid streets of modern-day Beirut. Seated in a moving car, Ali becomes our narrator and guide, tracing personal and collective memories as we navigate the city’s evolving landscape. From the central districts inhabited by Muslim communities to the intimate spaces of Ali’s own home, the film reveals the unspoken dialogues between past and present, exploring how identity, faith, and history intersect across time.
